"The defendant and the unidentified female passenger were captured on camera leaving from the scene in the Camaro," prosecutors say. Officials say they have footage that backs that up too! officials say witnesses say Davis and his passenger were seen gathering items from the Lambo and moving them to a getaway car that drove them away from the crash scene. Prosecutors say they've obtained surveillance footage from a nearby store that shows the Lamborghini "collide directly into the store’s fence and the driver, was allegedly identified by witnesses as Gervonta Davis."Īnd, what's worse. If convicted of all charges, Davis faces a potential maximum of 7 YEARS and 55 days in prison. He's also facing charges for failure to report an accident, driving on a suspended/revoked license, failure to stop at a red light and more. Now, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office announced it's moving forward with 14 counts against Davis, including 4 counts of "failure to immediately return and remain at scene of accident involving bodily injury." 7 - was reportedly celebrating his birthday at a nearby nightclub in South Baltimore before the incident. just days after Gervonta's huge knockout win over Leo Santa Cruz.ĭavis - who turned 26 on Nov. The undefeated knockout artist is suspected of being the driver of the 2020 Lamborghini Urus which allegedly blew through a red light and slammed into a Toyota on Nov. 2020 hit-and-run crash that injured FOUR people - and now he's facing more than 7 YEARS in prison. Say, Davis by stoppage in the seventh round.Boxing superstar Gervonta Davis just got socked with 14 criminal charges stemming from a Nov. This should be a fan-friendly fight, and I think Davis will mostly dominate it. And I’m guessing Davis hits harder and cleaner than Romero. Romero has power, and Davis hasn’t really had his chin tested by an elite opponent yet. I’d be surprised if this goes the distance. The quality of his opposition has gotten better recently (the combined record of his last four opponents was 58-3-1 when Romero fought them), but still, he’s the most inexperienced opponent Davis has faced in a while. Though he’s only 14-0 (with 12 KOs), Romero is coming off his best victory, a seventh-round stoppage of Anthony Yigit (who has a win over Sandor Martin, the conqueror of Mikey Garcia). Right now, his best wins have come against Jose Pedraza and Leo Santa Cruz (who was was moving up in weight), and though his last two victories against Mario Barrios and Isaac Cruz are solid, Davis still hasn’t faced a fighter who could make it a 50-50 fight. Rolly Romero recordsĭavis has an impeccable record of 26-0 with 24 KOs, but we’re still waiting for his signature fight. Aside from that, it’s tough to find any value in this fight unless you think Romero is going to score the upset by stoppage. But if you like Romero, you can get him to win by KO/TKO at +1100. Instead, you’d probably have to narrow it down and take Davis by stoppage in rounds 7-12 at +210. You can get Davis by KO/TKO at -400, but I don’t love that. At this point, Davis is way too wide to bet, and Romero’s price isn’t wide enough (I looked at a few other online sports books to see if you could get Romero at +700 or +800, and the answer to that is no). Meanwhile, Romero is +600, which means you’d win $600 on a $100 bet. But considering Davis was -1600 when this fight was first announced, you’re getting a little more value on him if you take his money line. As of this writing, Davis was a -1000 favorite, meaning you’d have to bet $1,000 to win $100. Rolly Romero oddsĭavis is a big betting favorite, but the price has come down on him.
